*Opening Hymn #1064 Blue Boat Home
*Covenant Love is the doctrine of this church.
The quest for truth is its sacrament,
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
To seek knowledge in freedom,
To serve humankind in fellowship,
Thus do we covenant with each other.
*Hymn of Praise From all that dwell below the skies
Let songs of hope and faith arise
Let peace, goodwill on earth be sung
Through every land, by every tongue.

Time for All Ages Welcoming New Members
Congregation: In thanksgiving and love, we welcome you, friends, into our
congregation. We covenant to support you, to encourage you, to grow with
you and even to challenge you. We will laugh with you when it is time to
laugh and cry with you when it is time to cry. But most of all we will walk
with you. Our community is richer because you are here, and our chalice
glows more brightly with your new light. We are glad you are among us.
New Members: Thank you for welcoming us. We too covenant to offer our
support and encouragement to every member of this community and to all
those members who will follow us. We covenant to welcome them just as you
have welcomed us. Our lives are richer because this community is here.
Unison: Inspired to deepen our understanding, expand our vision, and live
our Unitarian Universalist values in daily life, we pledge to walk together in
peace.

Sung Response There’s A Wideness In Your Mercy Frederick William Faber
There’s a wideness in your mercy like the wideness of the sea.
There’s a kindness in your justice which is more than liberty.
For the love we serve is broader than the measures of our minds
And the heart of the eternal is most wonderfully kind.

Service Notes
Today we send 60% of our offering to the Unitarian Universalist Association – UU Service Committee Nepal
Earthquake Relief Fund. On April 25, communities in Nepal, India, and Bangladesh suffered a devastating
7.8 magnitude earthquake. So far, reports reveal that more than 4,000 people have died and thousands
more are injured or missing. The UUA-UUSC response will focus on those who are often left out of
traditional emergency relief efforts, such as people living in remote areas; women and children; lesbian,
gay, bisexual, and transgender people; people who do not have recognized citizenship; indigenous people;
Dalits; elderly people; and people living with disabilities and HIV/AIDS.
