This version of a silent auction is held the last two Sundays in February, but our scheduling of the events will be happening in about three weeks. The Dining for Dollars committee has been making phone calls to church members and even church friends, looking for people interested in hosting an event, either at their own house or at another venue, such as a park or a restaurant. |

See Pat’s letter in the November newsletter for the points he made in urging that a portion of the money be given to aid "the poor, the environment, world peace." Kathy Cook discussed the decision process, saying an attempt should have been made to get congregational input on the disposition before a decision was made. |
