We plan to continue exploring beach hikes.  Tides are moderately low on the morning or September 8.  This is an ideal time to hike along the Malibu beaches.  We are planning to hike at Point Dumé.  We will start on the beach, hike up and over the Point (good views) and down onto beaches on the other side, then hike along the beach. It may be cold or hot; dress for temperature change.  Bright sun reflects off the water so sunscreen and hats are very important.  Bring water and a snack.  You should be able to climb about 5 flights of stairs and hike about 5 miles.  Expect mostly packed, wet sand and some rocks.  The tide will not be low enough for tidepool exploration.  There is a fee for parking and restrooms near the parking area. Meet at the church at 9 am.
