Interweave is the UU support and advocacy group for LGBTQIA individuals, families and allies, going strong since its re-formation in early 2001. UUSM famously began blessing same-sex unions in the late 1950s and has long supported gay, lesbian and transgender rights, including putting up a fierce fight against Proposition 8. Current activities may include social and discussion groups, as well as leading our congregation’s intergenerational contingent to LA Pride every year. Interweave also hosts an Annual Summer Picnic.  Interweave also hosts our Coming Out Day Sunday service in October each year.
