The central concern of the religious life is how to source spirit. Spirit is not something vapored or ephemeral but literally is breath, the sine qua non of one's life, central to our material existence. We learn over time how to source it and ride it like the wind. Without it there is no significant religious life. Paul W. Sawyer was ordained by the California Universalist Convention and the Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Van Nuys in April 1959. Reverend Sawyer received his preaching license from the Massachusetts Universalist Convention in 1954...and has been preaching ever since, almost 56 years.
