Once again vocalist Moira Smiley joins us to present an afternoon of singing and fun. The workshop is free to church members and friends but you must sign up in advance. Please email your request to office@uusm.org to be put on the list.

Our is a shared ministry that is only possible with the generous gifts of time, talent, and resources from our many congregational leaders, members, friends, and staff. Join us as we celebrate our many volunteers and staff and explore what opportunities for volunteer service and leadership are emerging in this time of renewal and rebirth.

Volunteer Beautification Day
Come help beautify our church campus. On this workday, the congregation has a chance to roll up its sleeves for a while and make the place shine. On this day we will mainly be painting and beautifying Anderson Courtyard, sealing the outdoor benches, and pruning vegetation everywhere. Indoor jobs, too. Please come! Talk to Karl Lisovsky for details. Everybody is welcome. Childcare available.

Voting Solutions for All People Presentation on new voting systems for 2020 Primary and General Election for Los Angeles County. A speaker from the Los Angeles County Registrar & #39's Office will present information on Voting Solutions for All People. Voters will be able to mark and cast their ballot at any vote center throughout the County. Voters will no longer be limited to voting at an assigned polling place. Voting will be available for an extended election period of 11 days. Voters will no longer be limited to voting on one particular day. This is a pilot program for Los Angeles County. |

Waitin' on the World to Change Solving the world’s problems is a daunting task. But if we each take a step towards positive action, we can make the world around us a better place. This annual YRUU service will explore the ways we can make a difference, from using our creativity to start social justice revolutions to doing the smallest of good deeds like sharing the gift of music or helping a friend. The service promises to be a rousing, multi-media experience. |
