What Just Happened?
Rev. Rebecca will offer post-election reflections and we will celebrate all those who have joined our church as members since the spring with a ceremony of affirmation and welcome.

What kinds of programs do you have for children?

We have a full program of Religious Exploration for kids from age 3 through high school, as well as nursery care for babies and children under age 3, and the Our Whole Lives (OWL) program for sexuality education. The RE program also sponsors social events and activities for children throughout the year, including a Halloween event, cookie bake, winter holiday pageant, Secret Pals program, and many others.

What kinds of social activities do you have?

We have a wide range of social activities and groups, for people of all ages. Many ongoing groups are listed on our Activities and Special Interest Groups pages... and you'll find other Special Events in our Calendar section.

What Makes a Family?

Adopting a child is a well-considered, intentional act of commitment. Members of our congregation will share their experience as part of this special service on Mother?s Day. Their stories are moving, their observations insightful and challenging, their families an integral part of our church community.

What Makes Us Free?

Passover celebrates the struggle for freedom in the history of the Jews. We'll explore what makes us free and why freedom is a core religious value. (Chalice ligting remarks by Robin Lowney Lankton)

What Matters Most (Dave Gruisin) - MIchael Miersma
What Matters? (Online Service)

Moving together through these challenging times, we find ourselves, perhaps on a daily basis, reassessing our priorities. We have a lot of questions these days. UCLA Oncology Chaplain and popular guest speaker, Michael Eselun will share reflections on the question, “What Matters?” We look forward to his return to our pulpit.

Michael Eselun serves as the chaplain for the Simms/Mann‐UCLA Center for Integrative Oncology. Two-time TED-X speaker, Michael speaks extensively to healthcare professionals, patient populations, and faith communities across the country. He’s also worked as an activist/educator addressing anti-LGBTQ bias in the larger community for over 30 years. Michael was recently inducted into the UCLA-Semel Institute Eudaimonia Society, in recognition of having lived a meaning-driven life. He has four volumes of CDs available for purchase through his website, www.michaeleselun.com.
What Next?
What Part of No

No is a powerful and sometimes necessary statement. But yes is what leads to growth. We'll look at the role of the negative and the positive in religious life.

What Religious Education Means to Me
Join our children, youth, teachers, and lifespan learners for a joyful intergenerational celebration and exploration of our Religious Education programs.
What should I wear?

In keeping with the fairly relaxed character of the overall Los Angeles area, we do not have a dress code, and our attendees have a wide range of personal styles. Some people prefer to wear business or "Sunday" clothes to our services, while others prefer more "come as you are" attire. Wear whatever you're comfortable in when meeting new people, and you'll fit in just fine.

What the Living Do

A Service for Memorial Day What the Living Do are the words of poet Marie Howe, who describes her experiences following the death of her brother. Despite our grief, we are uplifted and strengthened by commemorating those who have gone before us. The service will include a New Member Recognition ceremony at 930 and 1100.
