Youth RE
As we do each week, we'll collect food for Westside Food Bank so if you can bring something from your pantry to contribute, that'd be great!
In the Cottage:
We'll be making name stones for opening and closing Cottage rituals.
We'll use those stones in walking a labyrinth and setting intentions for a great new week.
Of course, we'll have snack because....well, snack.
And we'll talk about the rituals we have at home and at UUSM.
You'll get to take home a sheet that shares all what we did in the cottage, how you might explore the topic further by talking about it, and you'll get some family rituals you might try at home!
After service, kids are invited to help prepare Lunches for Bunches, our weekly service action that feeds our homeless neighbors who access Annenberg Access Center for showers, laundry, mental health and substance abuse support, employment services, and more.

Opening Hearts: An Embodied Practice Circle
As we prayerfully consider the intersections of holidays, holy days, and seasonal happenings a theme often emerges. In this Sunday worship offering we encounter and engage the theme together by honoring and exploring the sacred teacher we all share - the human body.
Participants are invited to offer their unique embodied wisdom and Divine understandings as we grapple with practices and questions each week, weaving a co-creative “sermon” together by sharing the insights, awareness, and Love intelligence revealed to us, individually and collectively.
This is a radically inclusive space where all religious identities and mixities are welcomed and celebrated. Rev. Amelia teaches from the well of embodied practices she is in mindful, reflective, and ongoing relationship with. Primarily (though not exclusively) these stem from the Bhakti, Sufi, and Christian traditions where her religious identity, practice life, and leadership is rooted.
