Come peruse the tables of one-of-a-kind crafts, delightful oddities, thought provoking books and organic treats, (including gourmet foods from Community Services Unlimited, a South Central L.A. non-profit guest and recent partner to Second Sunday Supper in April). Lunch will be available for purchase, so make an afternoon out of the event! A great opportunity to shop for yourself, your home or for gifts. A percentage of all sales benefit the Faith In Action Committee and their affiliated programs including the Green Committee, the Hunger Task Force, Interweave, and the Peace & Social Justice Committee.
Leadership and Stewardship Training with UUA Experts
On Saturday, May 14, 10 am to 3 pm, at the Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society, 9550 N. Haskell Ave., Los Angeles. Rev. Dr. Ken Brown will lead a morning session, 10 am – noon, on adaptive leadership and ministerial transitions. After a lunch break, noon – 1 pm, Rev. Vail Weller, the UUA Congregational Giving Director, will lead an afternoon session, 1 pm – 3 pm, on church fundraising and stewardship. The day concludes with an optional question and answer time with our presenters, 3 pm – 4p m, for those who can stay. Cost is FREE! Lunch arrangements are still being finalized.
