RRTF - Dialogue Circle Two Dialogue Circles to discuss the rough draft of the Covenant of Right Relations have now been held. If you haven’t had a chance to provide feedback or input, please attend our third and final Circle on Sunday, November 19 from 1 – 3. You may sign up at the Right Relations table in Forbes Hall after both services or by emailing: rightrelations@uusm.org. This is an exciting process of contemplating and deciding how we want to be with one another. We are committing to our highest aspirations for relationship and we need everyone’s voice and heart for it to fully reflect our community. And the Right Relations Task Force is also available to help talk through any concerns or conflicts you are presently holding or experiencing. Just complete a Note to Right Relations and let us know what’s on your mind. Stop by the Sunday table in Forbes or drop a line to the above email. |

RRTF- Dialogue Circle Come at noon for a light lunch and stay for the Dialogue Circle from 1 – 3pm. Please rsvp to: rightrelations@uusm.org so we have enough food. This is an exciting process of contemplating and deciding how we want to be with one another. We are committing to our highest aspirations for relationship and we need everyone’s voice and heart for it to fully reflect our community. After the three Dialogue Circles where the Right Relations group will gather feedback and input, a final draft covenant will be sent to the Board. Once they approve, the Covenant will be in its final form and will be voted on by the congregation. We hope your aspirations for how we agree to be with one another will be reflected in the final draft. To be certain of that, attend a Dialogue Circle or email your thoughts and comments to: rightrelations@uusm.org. Thank you for your thoughtful participation and engagement in this important undertaking.

Rules of the Meeting Adopted by the congregation May 21, 2006 Parliamentary Procedure:In cases of questions on parliamentary procedure, the chair shall rule. If the ruling is contested, the assembly shall vote on whether or not to uphold the ruling of the chair. The Handling of a Motion:1. A member makes a motion. ("Member" means voting member of the Church.) 2. Another member seconds the motion. 3. The chair states the question on the motion.
4. Members debate the motion (unless no member claims the floor to do so) by lining up at a designated microphone.
5. The chair asks if there is any further discussion and, if there is not, puts the question (that is, puts it to a vote), calling for those in favor, those opposed, and those abstaining. 6. The chair announces the result of the vote. 7. During the debate on a motion, a member may join the line at a designated microphone to amend the motion.
8. During the debate on a motion, a member may join the line at a designated microphone to "call for the question," which is a request to close debate and proceed to a vote.
