*Gathering Hymn When the Summer Sun is Shining arr. Margaret W. Mealy
When the summer sun is shining over golden land and sea,
And the flowers in the hedgerow welcome butterfly and bee;
Then my open heart is glowing, full of warmth for everyone,
And I feel an inner beauty which reflects the summer sun
In the cool of summer evening, when the dancing insects play,
And in garden, street, and meadow linger echoes of the day;
Then my heart is full of yearning; hopes and mem’ries flood the whole
Of my being, reaching inwards to the corners of my soul.

Join with all people whose rights are denied;
Take not for granted a privileged place;

Order of Service - March 20, 2016 "For Such a Time as This"
March 20, 2016
Help us to be the always hopeful
gardeners of the spirit
who know that without darkness
nothing comes to birth
as without light
nothing flowers.

*Gathering Hymn This Is My Song Jean Sibelius
This is my song, O God of all the nations,
a song of peace for lands afar and mine.
This is my home, the country where my heart is;
Here are my hopes, my dreams, my holy shrine;
But other hearts in other lands are beating
With hopes and dreams as true and high as mine.
My country’s skies are bluer than the ocean
And sunlight beams on cloverleaf and pine
But other lands have sunlight too, and clover
And skies are everywhere as blue as mine.
O hear my song, thou God of all the nations,
A song of peace for their land and for mine.
