Thus do we covenant with each other.

Service Notes
Today, 60% of our non-pledge offering will go to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee
(UUSC), a nonsectarian organization that advances human rights and social justice in the United
States and around the world. Through a combination of advocacy, education, and partnerships with
grassroots organizations, UUSC promotes economic rights, advances environmental justice, defends
civil liberties, and preserves the rights of people in times of humanitarian crisis.
Thank you to Pam Sparr, Associate Director for Justice-Building at the UUSC, for joining us today.
Pam leads the staff team responsible for UUSC’s advocacy and campaigning efforts, for developing
new social justice and human rights programs and projects, and galvanizing networks of activists,
volunteers, and ministers to advance justice and human rights. She has worked as an economist and
activist in a wide range of settings in the U.S. and internationally. Pam is a long-time UU whose home
congregation is All Souls in Washington, D.C.
