*Gathering Hymn For the Earth Forever Turning arr. Nick Page
For the earth forever turning;
For the skies, for every sea;
For our lives, for all we cherish,
Sing we our joyful song of peace.
For the world we raise our voices,
For the home that gives us birth;
In our joy, we sing returning
Home to our bluegreen hills of earth.

*Opening Hymn #360 Here We Have Gathered
*Covenant Love is the doctrine of this church.
The quest for truth is its sacrament,
And service is its prayer.
To dwell together in peace,
To seek knowledge in freedom,
To serve humankind in fellowship,
Thus do we covenant with each other.
*Hymn of Praise From all that dwell below the skies
Let songs of hope and faith arise
Let peace, goodwill on earth be sung
Through every land, by every tongue.

Brother, sister, let me help you, we’re together on this road.
We are here to help each other walk the mile and bear the load.

when you laugh, I’ll laugh with you.
I will share your joy and sorrow, till we’ve seen this journey through.

Service Notes
Welcome and thank you to our guest musicians this morning, The Evangenitals. The Evangenitals,
founded by playwright and director, Juli Crockett, and opera, jazz, and gospel singer, Lisa Dee, are an
alt-country/Americana love revolution made flesh for your listening pleasure. On a quixotic crusade in
the key of life, hell-bent on breaking hearts open, they are a genre bending, ever-creating force of
nature. More at www.evangenitals.com.
This month, 60% of our offering will go to benefit the Camp DeBenneville Pines . DeBenneville Pines
is a UU camp in the San Bernardino National Forest, about 90 miles east of Los Angeles. Since 1962,
Unitarian Universalists have gathered in the pines to experience the wonder of the natural world
while deepening their connections to their faith and one another. This year the all-church camp
weekend will be September 18-20, and registration is now open. Please register with our Camp Dean,
Jacki Weber. As with all church programs, if the registration fee is a barrier, please let Jacki or the
minister know, as scholarships are available, jacki.weber@gmail.com.
