Today, 40% of our offering goes to the Unitarian Universalist Association's (UUA's) United
Nations Office (UU-UNO) . The UU-UNO is involved in international advocacy for (UU) values.
From involvement in the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to leading
interfaith conversations on developing the International Criminal Court, to overcoming UN apathy
about sexual orientation & gender identity crimes worldwide, the UU-UNO has a long history of
providing strong leadership in all aspects of human rights at a policy level throughout the world.
Some of the UU-UNO's work involves
* Educational support and healthcare access to children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDs in Ghana
* Advancing equal rights for all humans regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity
* Fighting for women's sexual and reproductive health and rights
* Bolstering the UU Climate Justice Initiative calling for global action
* Bringing the United States' Movement for Black Lives to a global stage
By supporting the UU-UNO, you are also helping our Youth programming understand how to be part
of global justice initiatives by supporting programs like the one they just attended. Please give
generously. We will now receive this morning's offering.
