Across the globe, as migrants leave their native lands to seek safety and opportunity, both great tensions and unexpected blessings follow.  How can our UU values of justice, equity and compassion inform our approach to immigration?  From the TRUST Act to the Dreamers, from Arizona to California, there is much that requires a deeper look. Service will be led by Vilma Ortiz and Rev. Lindi Ramsden,  Senior Minister & Executive Director of the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry, CA.

Faith and Art Against the Wall

“Put your faith in action!” will be the theme of July’s exhibit on the Forbes Hall Art Wall.

Sponsored by the UUCCSM Faith in Action Commission (FIA), the exhibit consists of prints, photos, and posters
related to the work of the committees under the FIA umbrella, including Peace & Social Justice, Multi-Racial
Development, Hunger Task Force, Green Living, and Interweave.

If we can turn it around fast enough, there may even be a photo or two from the June 20-24 UUA Justice General
Assembly in Phoenix.

FIA will host a reception in Forbes Hall Sunday, July 1, after the 10 a.m. service.

For more information, please contact Rick Rhoads at fia@uusm.org.
